About Us
At Small Wonders, our goal is to create a platform that makes learning and school enjoyable for students. We strongly believe that each possesses unique talents and gifts that should be celebrated and explored. Come join us in discovering the wonders of the world and learning something new every day!
Our Class Style
We give students the tools to feel confident enough to make educated guesses, trust their instincts, to ask questions, and to think outside of the box. Students use field scientist methods of observation and recall drawing their own conclusions and discussing them with likeminded friends/peers.

Students are never required to read aloud, stand up in front of the other students, etc. We find that by taking the anxiety out of required activities, most students choose to participate at their own comfort level, and many will flourish and participate more in this environment.

Friendships are made and students look forward to class. I take great pride in this. I do not focus on grammatical correction and do not assign busy work. Students are given artwork to complete during lectures to help with memory and focus. Your child will look forward to class each week.
Meet the Teacher
My name is Krissy Davis, and I am the owner of Small Wonders. I have over 30 years of experience working with children of all ages. I am a mother of 5 with special needs children. I have experience in every type of school setting from homeschooling to public schooling and some in between. I have background clearance and have worked for public and private schools. I have taught at local co-ops, and in my home. I have worked with the Shelby County Board of Education and have been a part of Shelby Crossings Christian School since 2010.

I am an herbalist and certified aromatherapist. I have a passion for all areas of science and herbal medicinals that can help others. I also have a deep love of biology, and I have kept my own observation specimens for over a decade.
